Sand martin - 2

Freshwater scrapes
Black brant - 1
Black-tailed godwit - sev
Ruff - 5

Wet grassland
Barnacle goose - 13
Lapwing - lots!

breezy - cool in the wind
I reckon there were 14 barnacle geese today (Saturday) - flighty
11 Whooper Swan dropped in for a while
little ringed plover 3
peregrine over the saltmarsh just before I left
white fronted goose 4
black tailed godwit c50
twite c50
about 6 ruff - one wearing a blue ring which signifies that it was ringed in Holland last year
lots of avocet
about a dozen snipe
half a dozen pimtail

certainly couldn't find the black brant

I saw this too - It had two rings on each leg.

Left leg - white ring above black ring.
Right leg - Blue ring above red ring.

Swallow reported through reserve 10:00am - must learn to embrace mornings!
