Visit on the cards hopefully Friday or Saturday weather permitting Kev - so in what areas do I need to be looking for firecrest, brambling and black redstart |

Hi Chris Most of the birds listed were close to the accommodation or office - so if you can cover the remaining 1400 acres on Friday that would be great ! I think the black redstarts have moved on now but firecrests again today around Sykes farm (two) and Aylmer. Quite a few finches on the move again today despite the poor weather - bramblings are usually involved in these movements. You can see Hunstanton clearly from here but I dont think anyone has been able to pick up the alpine swift yet ! Cheers Kev |

Couldn't find the firecrest but Kev told me where to find them just as I was getting into the car to go home - next time! other notables greenshank pink footed goose egyptian goose avocet virtually nothing on the beach or sea coal tit great spotted woodpecker chiffchaff 2 don't think I covered the remaining 1400 acres but it just felt like it Highlight of the day was a piece of date and walnut cake in the cafe - absolutely delicious |

i will do the rest on tuesday @wednesday the doc as told me do some walking hope it will be two nice days i need to get some weight of after i eat the rest of the cake tonight the wife made it for the centra last night .iam gland some one else enjoyed it if you at the meeting on tuesday knight all bring some more . john lusby |

Afternoon visit. 34 Avocets noted including 1 pair mating,otherwise very few waders,just Redshank and Curlew. Still ca. 10 Brent Geese on Tennyson's Sands and 2 Pinkfeet in fields. |
