Good movement of finches today - the first really good spring movement, involving c350 chaffinches south with smaller numbers of goldfinch, grreenfinch, linnet and siskin, and 6 brambling through.

I recorded one flock of chaffinches low south over Gib road moving at 9mph over c500 metres (I dont always drive that slowly!)

Also, the first firecrets of the spring - two.
