A phone call from jeff and brenda at 12.40 am,revealed he had an osprey fly right over the house(at Greetwell),his wife first saw the bird,alerted jeff who got his bins on it as it flew over the house heading towards mottleash hill,chased by 2 Buzzards.
I went up that way then on to MSQ reserve,but no sign of it,probably went straight throu,really early bird,ive had one in march at msq,but late march.
In the Duck hide sheltering from the rubbish weather,a hoo-eet call alerted me to wake up to see a Chiffchaff feeding busily catching flys,very active.
so;
No osprey

Note:1 Osprey recorded today at Hornsea Mere at 17.15,..same bird??.
