Four hours at Frampton Marsh today and I was able to walk to the Witham Mouth as well as all around the reserve.
3 Little Ringed Plovers landed briefly on the scrapes
50 Twite gave excellent close views but no Snow or Lapland Buntings
25 Corn Buntings by River Witham.
18 Snipe flying over Reedbeds
1 Ruff on Scrapes
2 White-fronted geese on Reedbeds
3 Whoopers on Reedbeds (20 more Whoopers(?) on adjoining farmland).
All duck species, including Pintail and Eider, looking splendid in bright sunshine.
Skylarks singing and Lapwings starting to display but otherwise few signs of Spring on a freezing day.
Total 67 species seen. Full list on Birdtrack
