Severe frost but a lovely day, mere 40% frozen this morning:-
7 Mute Swans, 5 immatures flew in but were promptly chased off by the resident pair.
23 Canada Geese.
46 Gadwall.
20 Shoveler.
1 drake Wigeon.
19 Teal.
1 pair Goosanders, seen mating.
2 Grey Partridges.
1 Water rail heard.
1 Oystercatcher on the raft, 1st of year.
10 Lapwings on wheat field.
3 Skylarks singing.
3 Meadow Pipits.
6 Song Thrushes, 2 singing.
3 Redwings.
c50 Fieldfare.
2 Tree sparrows.
3 Reed Buntings.
