Today went to quite a few sites that I hadn't been to for quite some time. M180/A180/A160: Kestrel - 6 Rosper Road Pools: early afternoon Grey Heron - 8 [ most I've ever seen at one time ] Little Grebe - 1, Teal - 1 pr, Mallard - 1pr, Moorhen - 6, Coot - 6, LBB Gull - 1. N.Killingholme Pits: low tide Little Egret - 3, Redshank - 7, Teal - 9, Mallard - 6, Curlew - 1, Black-head Gull - 9. A guy in hide had a Bittern about ten minutes before we arrived, he said it went in the far reedbed. First visit since roadworks had been done, the ditch is much cleaner but there is loads of traffic. East Halton Skitter: Kestrel - 2, Reed Bunting - 1, Turnstone - 2, Curlew - 7, Redshank - 20, Mute Swan - 2. Goxhill: Mute Swan - 3, Kestrel - 1. New Holland: warning for anyone going, once off the tarmac road the track is in a DISGUSTING STATE as it was on my last visit about five years ago! Mute Swan - 34, Moorhen - 1, Coot - 13, Redshank - 17, Mallard - 37, Kingfisher - 1. MARSHLANDS: Pochard - 41, Tufted Duck - 12, GC Grebe - 1. SAILING PITS: GC Grebe - 9, Coot - 5, Moorhen - 4, Cormorant - 1. PIT 25: Goldeneye - 11, plus others. PASTURE WHARF: Curlew - 10, Shelduck - 8, Redshank - 2. in the distance could see two skeins of geese going towards Reed's Island. WORLABY TOP: Tree Sparrow - 41, Dunnock - 1. WORLABY CARRS: late afternoon SEO - 1 [ it was sat on edge of dyke and I managed to film it and take some pics and my matetook pics, it sat there for ten minutes! Tree Sparrow - 15, Mute Swan - 4 After some very good days this one was reasonable. Kind regards John |

Hi Rog, You must have missed my last couple of reports where I stayed in one place all day [six hours]. You have mentioned this in the past. I think it's good to have variety no matter what otherwise Jack get's a dull boy ![]() Both Owlet and Worlaby which I recently visited a few times each on different visits they were teeming with stuff and other times little there.
