Post subject:  Frampton & Frieston

Meet up with Marc Suller a birder from Oxfordshire who I had met in Cuba last year. I showed him the delights of Frampton & Frieston. We had an excellent day even though it was murky, cold and at times with light rain
Highlights included

barn owl 5 - 6 (one at Digby Fen on the way home)
merlin
sparrowhawk 2. (one at Digby Fen on the way home)
kestrel
peregrine (frieston)
red breasted merganser 5 (4 on the sea and a female on the main lagoon at frieston)
pintail several
snow bunting 9
twite c100
brent goose 5000
white fronted goose 2
black necked grebe
eider
scoter
redwing
fieldfare
snipe
grey plover
golden plover 500
lapwing 2500

we couldn't find the lapland bunting but they had been seen
