Feb 19th:
Another visit and a few different sightings during my four and a quarter hours starting at 13.00. Bitterly cold for someone with no fat reserves, namely me!

Expected quite a few there considering a recent rare sighting but alas only one until an hour before I left and I was joined by Mick West and one of his family. Then a few more arrived.
Sightings as follows:
Short-eared Owl - 1 [tried filming it, still need more practice, at least I can recognise the species]
Little Egret - 1
Magpie - 6
Corn Bunting - 37
Yellowhammer - 1
Common Buzz - 1
Kestrel - 2
Grey Heron - 1
Robin - 1
Blackbird - 2
Mute Swan - 4
Greylag - 14
Starling - 30
Chaffinch - 1
Sprawk - 1 [seen by Mick]
Woodcock - 1 [seen by Mick ]
3 skeins of distant geese [ I presume] going south-west.
c60 what looked to be white birds distant flying in a straight line going north-west, I thought they were Golden Plover size but Mick thought they were larger. They were flapping their wings quite fast, I had them in the scope for a while but they were going away all the time. They came from the over the Wolds.
Saw a Kestrel at Wrawby and one at Elsham crossing. Also the Starling roost at Brigg doing aerial manouvers.
Another good day.
Regards
Max
