Had a couple of hours out on local patch trying out new gear, next time I'll remember to switch it on ![]() Black Bank: Fieldfare - 12 Common Buzzard - 1 Moorhen - 2 Blackbird - 2 Tufted Duck - 10 Coot - 4 Looking towards Scotterthorpe riverbank we could see 16 swans and neither of us had a scope so not sure if they were Mute or Whooper. Tuetoes: One of each Goldcrest, Coal Tit, GSW and Chaffinch. Butterwick Hale: First visit since the fire, looks as if the spot where the pallets were dumped and set fire is now popular, looked like an old burnt out settee taking the honours, otherwise birds were non existant except for a low flying Kestrel, had hoped it was a Merlin but it was too big.
