nice to see the sun but it was bitterly cold
far ings
no sign of the smew or cettis but calling well early morn
just uaual common stuff really
2 jays thornton abbey
south killingholme
15 curlew
4 dunlin
3 black tailed godwit
100 + redshank

saw a male peregrine calling and circling an interesting site later on before heading off over the humber, i will keep my eye on the place for any further signs.

ps almost forgot met 4 out of town birders they told me they had been to humberston fitties where they saw the black brant thats been seen on and off all winter it fiew in from cleethorpes way around high tide and last seen south of the yacht club with 500 brents, :D :D

A note from Chris Johnson

Black Brant at Humberstone - flew in to feed in fields behind floodbank at TA335045 with 300+ dark-bellied Brents.

Also male Hen Harrier hunting the area.
Single Ruff and Jack Snipe.

ta much folks, sorry info not quite right, only put it on because roy had been looking for it earlier in the winter and i have only seen it once behind the leisure centre, but to know its still generally in the same area is helpful for other birders :D :D
