3 Waxwing flew south down the West Dunes this afternoon, pausing briefly atop the Sycamores before disappearing into the mist.

Smew 1 (mere)
Hen Harrier 1 ringtail
Woodcock 6
Fieldfare 250
Corn Bunting 65

One waxwing again today on the road edge near the Croftmarsh track with fieldfares.

Still c2500 feildfare about - not so many berries left now though.

Encouraging news on the winter corn bunting flock that has been dwindling for the last 10-15 years - the highest count has been 72 this winter - we have no idea about the origins of these birds though.
