Misty and cold, still a little ice. Main reedbed pool completely dry. Fairly quiet: Grey Heron 1` Whooper swan 1x1st winter, took off and flew North Greylag goose c230 on beet field Mallard 13 Teal 27 Shoveler 9, nearly all males Wigeon 2 Gadwall 2 Lapwing 21 over Coot 7 Moorhen 14 Water rail 2 heard Grey wagtail, good numbers flying over in groups of 5-8 Blackbird 15 Great tit 7 Blue tit 5 Long tailed tit 7 Mixed finches, several small groups Mixed corvids c300 over Regards David |
