A very snowy but thoroughly enjoyable 7 hours there today :) All pits totally frozen and covered in snow with the exception of Target Pit which was only partially iced over.


1 Cettis Warbler - I am delighted after months of only hearing or having brief glimpses, to get a photograph of one :) )

4 Bittern - very mobile around Ness
4 Bearded Tit (2 in BRB and 2 on Ness Pit)
1 Smew - Target Pit
3 Goldeneye - 2m1f
1 Sparrowhawk.
3 Willow Tit
6 Bullfinch
3 Snipe
Usual Tits, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Tree SParrow, Dunnock etc
A few Tufted, Pochard and Coot on Target Pit
3 Little Grebe
1 GC Grebe
2 Water Rail
