Welcome Thrush activity in our garden in Bracebridge Heath, LINCOLN with Fieldfare, Redwing, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush and Blackbird all putting in regular apearances.
The main attractions are a prolific Guelder Rose ( so named as originally being from the Dutch province of Guelderland ), with large juicy red berries,Hawthorn berries and a Sentinel Crab Apple tree ( planted to attract passing Waxwings - dream on ! ), with red mini-apples which really set the Thrushes a detaching problem. Only the stronger Mistle Thrush and Fieldfare seem competent.
Also a charm of c12 Goldfinches on the Nyjer seed keeping a wary eye open for the regular Sparrowhawk - as are the Woodpigeons.

Regards,

Freddy
