A lovely bright and crisp day to be birding along the coast - a little too 'crisp' for Linda!

Rimac - About 75 Twite in a mixed flock that included Linnet and one Snow Bunting.
Lapland Buntings were heard in flight but none seen on the ground - despite much searching.
Approx 75 Pink-footed Geese flew south
Large numbers of Skylarks on the marshes and good numbers of Reed Buntings
Thrushes were not counted but, as alsewhere along the coast, Redwing and Fieldfare
were plentiful feeding on the berry bushes. The Redwings in particular were much
more confiding than usual.

Brickyard Lane - 6 Shore Larks were re-located, also one Snow Bunting that was in the company of Skylarks.

We met up with Alex Parker and John Scarborough at Brickyard Lane- they had just left Covenham Reservoir and reported that all the 'good' birds from the previous day were still there.
