Back to the frozen North from a few days in Wiltshire. Surprised a wren in the hide, perhaps from one of the two broods that hatched in there last summer. Don't blame it, the hide is full of spiders!
Both scrapes visble from the hide were frozen over (temp -4C) so very little showing. A walk up to the reed bed was a little more productive but only just - more flying around than on the ground:
