whilst doing WeBS at Saltfleetby nnr and Saltfleet foreshore the following counts for both sites combined rock pipit, c220 ( 1 party of 53 in air together) skylark c 370 lapland bunt 7, snipe 42, peregrine,1 hen harrier 1f, r,b, merg 1, only 43 cormorant, reduced from c180 on fri morning, teal c190, no large numbers of waders but much of foreshore frozen as temp was still below freezing and minus 4.5oc at 0800hrs, ( minus 6.0oc this morning at 0700hrs), cheers John. |

Walked over frozen Theddlethorpe beach today to the intertidal zone, sightings included the following, c340 scoter (mostly 1st year), 240 curlew, c 900 com gull, 480 herring gull, 220 gbbg, 3 red throat divers, c190 carrion crow, 2 seal corpses 0 ivory gulls , cheers John. |

Hi Steve, forecast for the cold weather to continue for 4 or 5 days so i will keeping looking on the foreshore, be nice to find a white wing gull, smew or long tail duck etc, happy xmas cheers John. |
