Post subject:  Caspian Gull

Dean Nicholson found a superb adult Caspian Gull on (North Hykeham) Butterleys Pit this afternoon. It commutes to the nearby Lincoln Tip and was also getting onto Teal Lake at Whisby NP. Butterleys Pit is private but can be observed at this time of year from the north east corner of Apex Pit or the eastern side of Teal Lake, both which have public access. A very distinctive bird, hopefully I'll be able to post some of Deans photos soon.

Also

1 Chiffchaff - a very vocal wintering bird
120 Pink-feet - flew north over Whisby this morning

Regards

Grahame
