Marston STW 1st December 2009

x2 Cetti's Warblers (both females were trapped at the edge of the reed bed during a ringing session) one bird was the retrapped Hert's bird which has now been on site for at least 10 weeks, the 2nd bird was a new 1st winter female (it was aged on growth bars on the tail). There have now been 4 females ringed at Marston STW this year. (Also, yesterday I heard a male singing near the reed bed gate)

Also of interest:

6 wader sp. north (think they might have been black-tailed Godwits?)
c120 Golden Plover
c80 Lapwings
8 Reed Bunting
14 Curlew
12 Wigeon
c45 Teal
c65 Mallards
3 Grey Wagtails
