ND picked up a juv Great Northern flying over the Humber off Barton this morning; it landed briefly on Barrow Haven Ski pit then flew off east then south and west at great height before landing again on the Humber then eventually flew off east back towards the North Sea -- also today 1, 14, 12 Common Scoter, 2 f Scaup, ad Med Gull, 5 and 16 Whoopers and Peregrine on bridge loon pics in album |

While I was looking for the phalarope yesterday someone told me one had been seen at ( or off?) Waters Edge yesterday but I forgot all about it. Same one perhaps? It was getting to dark to go and look |
