A belated report from Boutham Mere from yesterday (2nd Nov) Sorry its a day late but was out all of last night. Written by Dean Nicholson and copied without his permission (but I think I'll get away with it somehow!!). I see Andy has had the Bittern again today.

A good haul from Boultham Mere today...........
Bittern - first record of the winter Cetti's Warbler - calling and showing breifly in reedbed to left of the hide Short-eared Owl - hunting reedbed infront of Water tower for c20 mins this afternoon Whooper Swan 9 - over NE Yellow-legged Gull 4 (3 ads and 1W) with c150 LBB's and 9 Herring Gulls Starling 20,000+ came in to roost Pintail 1 fem Siskin 7 L Redpoll 2 Water Rail 3 Grey Wag C Buzzard 2 Wigeon 3
