The Bittern at Boultham mere showed twice this afternoon. Once in the main reed bed when it fluttered up to the tops of the reeds and sat there looking around for a few minutes before climbing back down the reeds. It was later seen to fly from the main reed bed to the reeds on the south side of the mere. |
