Kevin Armstrong and I were just packing up after a roost ringing session at Occupation Lane, Walesby this evening when we were treated to a spectacular low level fly past of Rooks and Jackdaws coming in to roost at Willingham Forest. Due to the half light it was impossible to be precise but we estimated that the roost involved in excess of 2,500 birds. Stunning! |
