A very quiet but mild and sunny afternoon- neap tides do nothing to bring birds off the saltmarsh regrettably.

Kingfisher 2 At first I thought I had seen the same bird twice but later in the afternoon I saw two almost together. Something not normally seen outside their breeding locations. It is often overlooked, during the winter months, that Kingfishers frequent tidal estuaries and gutters on salt marshes and I find that most of my such records over many years to be at nearby Butterwick Marsh.
Wigeon 28
Mistle Thrush 19
