Correct - ringed by Mid-Lincs RG at 9a.m. (I wasn't there!). Rarity details will be forwarded via BTO. |

Surely Donna Nook is in NE Lincs... Have Mid-Lincs RG had a geographical malfunction or is this a hostile take over bid?! |

Not quite, John. Those of us born and bred in the county and are old enough to remember the halcyon days before South Humberside was invented, disbanded and parts then renamed NE Lincs will know that Donna Nook has always been in the historical county of Lincolnshire. When the Mid-Lincs RG was formed in 1972, coastal ringing took place at Donna Nook which was far more "MID" than it is now! However, we have to admit to a little bit of geographical licence as there are now no other active ringers in NE Lincs that we know of. Unless, of course, someone knows different!!! |
