Hi All

The following records are ALL Lincolnshire description species that occurred in 2008, we have observer details for all these records (and I will be attempting to contact the original observers directly), but to date there is no description or photograph.

All these records are in danger of being omitted from the 2008 report unless we can verify them.

Did you see any of these birds? Do you have a photograph or a description of any of these records? Can you supply a website link to a photo of one of these birds, if so, please send to Paul French paul.french435@btinternet.com ASAP.

Small (slightly embarrassing) footnote;

1) Firstly, I have just noticed that two of these records are mine: Roseate Tern and Cetti's Warbler DOH! I will be submitting them to via Paul....
2) We have already received a number of descriptions (e.g. photographs), I will edit the original messages to remove these birds - so the list will be getting smaller!

It's nice, to see more openess in the forum as far as records are concerned.!!!

Especially as some of the records are attributable, to the "establishment".

I admit, I am not the greatest of contributors to the forum !!!

I will know take the Boll@@@ing to heart and throw my records into the pond and see what appears from the murk.

If, my submission to this sad story, help's to make this better and get's me to the 200+ club, all's well and I promise to do better.

All the 'Common Redpoll' records for Whisby NP refer to Lesser Redpoll. As I already have these records in the Whisby database under the correct species then all references to C Redpoll at Whisby should be deleted! The observer, who is a regular volunteer, at Whisby has entered all Lesser Redpoll records as Common Redpoll on Birdtrack which has then found its way into the LBC database.

Of interest this is not the first time I have had problems with incorrect (unverified?) data which has come from Birdtrack.
