The area south of Skegness was fairly quiet from 0700 so a Seawatch was the order of the day from 0730 to 1015. Wigeon 16 N Brent Goose 10 S R T Diver 3N 5S Eider 6 N Arctic Tern 6 N Commic Tern 9 N Sandwich Tern 1 N Manx Shearwater 3 S G C Grebe 1 S Bonxie 2 N Arctic Skua 1 S Pom Skua 1 N Skua sp 1 S Gannet 73 S 9 N Kittiwake 51 S including a flock of 35 Common Scoter 5 S Velvet Scoter 1 S landed on sea Guillemot 4 N Auk Sp 1 S 4 N
The mobile tit flock in the Sea Front Road area this morning also held 2 Chiffchaff and a cracking male Firecrest
As the northwesterly wind continued another Sea watch was from 1600 to 1745 Guillemot 4 N Auk sp 2 N 4 S Common Scoter 4 S Gannet 67 N 23 S Bonxie 3 N Long tailed Skua 2 N Kittiwake 24 N R T Diver 2 N Manx Shearwater 1 S 1 N Commic Tern 2 S
Little vismig though Grey Wagtail south, 12 Redpoll south, 60+ Blackbird in dunes and 30+ Redwing
Could be a rare weekend!!
