Post subject:  Fishtoft Swallows/House Martins

Our small breeding population of House Martins left on 1 October after several days of frenetic aerial activity watched for a long period on one particular day by a female Kestrel who seemed somewhat bemused by the proceedings. We've been away in Suffolk recently and not seen a single representative so I presumed that this would also be the case when we returned home. This however is not the case as we still seem to have a few stragglers.

7/10/09 2 Swallows and a single House Martin
9/10/09 5 House Martins
13/10/09 1 Swallow
All three recordings have been between 16.00 and 17.00 hrs
