Recent sights, yellow browed warbler sun, 28 redwing, 2 brambling, 2 siskin, 1 rouzle mon, c 230 mainly redwing with a few fieldfare in and over westward 1100 hrs tues,also 4 and 6 whooper swan south, 4 brambling, and 2 littl owls, and 2 tawny owls calling after dusk. Yet more scattered thrushes this morning and 1 flock of 63 fieldfare in and over @0920 hrs and possibly the same scattered bramblings, 2 chiffchaffs, 3 siskins, 4 woodcock. Looks fairly promising for the weekend, with nor east wind and high pressure forecast. cheers John.

Further small groups of redwings and blackbirds arriving in the afternoon (weds) and 1 possibly 2 yellow browed 1 firecrest and 1 rouzel seen.
also scattered siskins and bramblings along with fair number of chaffinches. cheers John

sightings for thurs include,
c 5000 redwing in and west during early afternoon,
another 2 yellow browed, 1 ring ouzel, 21 bullfinches, 11 tree sparrow,
13 mistle thrush, 3 great spot peckers, 8 sparrowhawks,
several siskin, woodcock and brambling, most of the blackbirds adult males, yet not a single goldcrest or redstart seen or heard, an no other species of warbler. John.
