Post subject:  Skegness 10-10-09

South of Skegness and north east corner of Gib from 0800 to 1300. Noticeably more vismig involving skylarks, mipits, finches and thrushes. 3 flocks of 20+ passerines (unidentified) seen coming in off during the morning. Highlights were:
 Robin (50)
 Blackbird (40)
 Song Thrush 18
 Redwing 10
 Stonechat 3
 Rook 1 S
 Commic Tern - 2 heading W with BH gulls
 Grey Wagtail 3 S
 Goldcrest 1
 Sparrowhawk 3 S
 Pintail 3 S
 Peregrine Ad male
 House martin 7 N, then 10 S later on
 Green woodpecker 1
 A large raptor seen early on from behind, disappearing into low cloud, evaded ID, but was probably a Marsh Harrier or a Common Buzzard
 Also seen, 4 Red Admiral, 2 Speckled Wood, 2 Painted Lady and 4 Small Copper
