Seawatch from 08:45 to 12:15:- 7 Red-throated Diver 3 N, 3 S & 1 on sea 1 Black-necked Grebe flew S then landed on sea 5 Manx Shearwaters 3 N & 2 S 154 Gannets, mainly juvs, 40 N & 114 S 1 Grey Heron in off c170 Pink-footed Geese S 1 Dark-bellied Brent Goose N 31 Wigeon N 44 Teal, mainly N 5 Pintail N 2 Tufted Duck N 2 male & 2 female Eider S 77 Common Scoter, mainly N 1 Goldeneye N 1 female Kestrel S 2 Oystercatchers N 9 Ringed Plover N c50 Sanderling on beach 7 Dunlin on beach 5 Common Snipe in off 16 Bar-tailed Godwit 10 N & 6 S 1 Curlew N 2 Pomarine Skuas S 5 Arctic Skuas 4 N & 1 S 3 Great Skuas 2 N & 1 S 1 adult Kittiwake hanging around shrimpers with other gulls 5 Sandwich Terns 2 adult & 1 juv Common Terns 3 Guillemots 1 N, 1 S & 1 on sea With Rick Bennett, Steve Meek & Terry West. |
