1 Green Woodpecker seen circa 20 metres from entrance to Boston Crematorium!

That's another bird off my 'bogey bird' list!

Would still love to see them in the woods round Belton House though...

Also Jay (first one I've seen in Lincolnshire), Treecreeper, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Robins in good voice, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Collared Dove, Magpie, Jackdaw, Woodpigeon and Wren giving me plenty of warning calls!!!

Skein of calling Greylag Geese over cemtery circa 15:30.

MAMMALS: 1 Rabbit and 3 Grey Squirrels. Muntjac Deer seen by someone else.

Katherine,
I must commend you on what must be the most ironic heading I've seen on this Forum - "Boston Cemetery Lifer" gives hope to us all in our later years!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be 32 in little more than a week's time, and already, I have just begun moulting into the white 'feathers' of a person's 'Senior Plumage'!

2 of my relatives (great uncles) went grey before their 40th birthday...

I admit it was a bad title in hindsight, but I honestly didn't see the irony when I made the title!
