Reports came in to the Wash Study Centre that a Yellow-browed Warbler had been seen in the West Dunes. I went straight there, and a bloke from Lincs Wildlife Trust saw it, but we didn't!

I'm suprised it's not on here.

Also to note, that I saw, were:

1 Little Ternl (off shore, distant)
Loads of Greater/Lesser Black-backed Gulls
1 Marsh Harrier
1 Pied Flycatcher
1 Cormarant
1 Avocet
1 Sparrowhawk (reported)
50+ Shelduck

I arrived at 12:45 and about an hour later saw the crowd in the western dunes looking for the yellow browed without success, Several pied flycatcher were about the reserve but I didn't manage to see them either. Apparently John Shaughnessy picked up a red breasted flycatcher early in the morning, on call but that too was elusive if not invisible

My best was
38 pink footed geeese high over on their way to Norfolk
1 buzzard
1 treecreeper
8 greenshank
3 avocet
5 little egret
35 black tailed godwit

Kev Wilson found the Yellow-browed Warbler (a first for the autumn) in the Sycamores in the West Dunes at about 10am but it promptly vanished. I refound it a little further into the Sycamores and it was then watched well by a few of us for about 10mins before it moved round the back of the clump. It was seen again later by Tim, another warden.
