Post subject:  Scunny environs,8/9.

At Home,9 am:
hirundines groups of 5 and 6 continually passing over heading south including one Swift,counted 50 when i went out birding to:
Appleby Carrs:
poor with wind increasing,
usual Buzzards-5/6
6 yellow wags over,decided after an hour to head home for a coffee.
Messingham S.Q.-afternoon:
2 Peregrines
3 hobbys,summary of-;
only been in the duck hide 20 minutes when a huge female Peregrine lauched an attack on the lapwings and other birds.
then joined by Canadian mike and 3 Hobbys appeared yes three!
+a male peregrine came in and had a go.
1 Common Sandpiper.
Hobby mobbing C buzzard was interesting also,
8 Common Buzzards,at least.
around 50 hirundines south,
all in all a good result today.
