Post subject:  monty's at grainthorpe haven

at last after being told by several other observers of monty's being in the area i have managed to see it myself. 15 mins hunting saltmarsh just north of haven then following combine harvester inland of the sea wall where eventually lost to view in the area of the first gate north of the outfall where it appeared to land on the landward side of the seawall at 17.30 hrs hot of the press.
the bird is a sub adult female cracking views, also thanks to various harries record count for me of 29 little egret
3 marsh harrier m/f and juv
8 kestrel
at least 8/9 greenshank inc 6 in flight together
hardly any passerines
3 linnet 2 yell wags
few mipits
14.30hrs-17.30 hrs
