Between 0620 and 0920 this morning: LWT reserve 7 Green Sandpipers 120 Black-headed Gull 2 Great Black-backed Gull c80 Greylag Geese 3 Common Tern, 8 juv 1 Reed Warbler 58 Lapwing 3 Great Crested Grebe 1 Marsh Harrier (0740 hrs) - Common Tern saw it off to the NE 4 Herring Gull 7 Cormorant 2 Shelduck juv 1 Kingfisher 3 Little Grebe 1 Turtle Dove 6 Shoveler 25 Teal 1 Little Ringed Plover 1 Great Tit 23 Tufted Duck, 3 Juv, 2 yg 2 Woodpigeon 3 Gadwall 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull 4 Black-tailed Godwit 2 Moorhen, 1 juv, 1 yg 18 Coot, 2 Juv 1 Common Gull 2 Mute Swan c20 Mallard 2 Wren 1 Pied Wagtail 1 Green Woodpecker 2 Swift
Pit N of landfill: 4 Egyptian Geese 2 Mute Swan, 4 Juv Also 1 Mute Swan found dead on the side of the road - suspect wire strike as there are electric wires above it, but could of been a vehicle as it flew over the road. Most damage looked to the head.
