Montagu's harrier - female hunting over the saltmarsh
Marsh harrier - 2
Little egret - 45+
Wood sandpiper - 4
Green sandpiper - 14
Common sandpiper - 2
Greenshank - 4
Avocet - 4
Whimbrel - 2
Golden plover - 60
Ruff - 6
Black-tailed godwit - 39
Snipe - 35
Dunlin - 6
Teal - 35
Pintail - 1
Wheatear - 1
Yellow wagtail - 10+

just watch how the numbers change from John & Paul's post
wetlands are rather wet after yesterday evenings rain and they attracted lots of gulls and distant waders

marsh harrier 2
montagus harrier 1 possible
little ringed plover 8
ruff 7
wood sandpiper 5 but 6 seen by oyhers
spotted redshank 2
kestrel 2
green sandpiper
snipe 8
lapwing 400
common sanpiper 1
dunlin 1
greenshank 1
avocet 1
curlew & whimbrel a few
pectoral sandpipper nil not seen after about 10:00 by anyone I spoke to
little stint nil
bt godwits nil
goldfincnch c500
wheatear 1
lots of swall and only a few sand martin
In the right place at the same time but still didn't see the two cranes
