Before going onto Fiskerton Fen, on the reserve pit the highlights between 1810 and 1830 were:
1 Turtle Dove
8 Green Sandpipers
5 Dunlin
2 Avocet
2 Oystercatcher
2 Little Ringed Plover
100 Lapwing

By the way the Whiskered Tern was a very nice summer adult!

On the way home, a Sparrowhawk darted across the road at Bucknall.
