Post subject:  Whiskered Tern

For those that dont know, an adult summer Whiskered Tern was found late afternoon at Fiskerton Fen near Lincoln by Keith Warner. Present on and off all evening and presumably roosted although I left the site before dusk.

May still be there at first light tomorrow should anyone fancy an early start.

I see Russell Hayes has posted some photos in the album

A very nice example and thanks to who put it out!

There was also a Turtle Dove there and a Marsh Harrier between 1905 and 1950 hrs!

Monday morning 06:00 to 06:20 - birding before work

No sign of the Whiskered Tern

Another guy who had been there since first light hadn't seen it
