I too went for a quick walk round for my first trip arriving at 8am. Left 7 hours later! What a superb site, good birds, facilities and most helpful folk. Saw the same as you plus 30+ Black Tailed Godwits which were sent into a frenzy when a Peregrine went throgh them - fantastic sight. The Wheatear I saw was a juvenile. Lucky you seeing the Clouded Yellow. Spent a while in that lovely sheltered area left of the visitors centre seaching in vain for it. Lots of painted ladies, pristine peacocks, whites, common blues and a few meadow browns. Also some good d'flies.
This is a fantastic site and resource and a tribute to all involved in its formation and management.
