Down on the London Rd Allotments and over the back field this a.m. I am quietly confident that there were 5 Peregrine Falcons, wheeling about and giving much aggro to the local pigeons, but not actually killing them.
I say quietly confident because of my eyes getting old and having no Bins with me. 2 other gardeners with some birding knowlege agreed with me.
After my greenhouse and allotment getting done by vandals this week it was a real pleasure, but will take some Bins next time, so watch this space.
Cheers Mike Surr

Are you all certain these are Peregrines? In all my birding years I've only ever seen more than two together immediately post breeding and near the nest site. A party like this would suggest local breeding, but where?

John
