Hi Highlights today were: Ruff - 3 males (almost) still in breeding plumage Sand Martin - now well over 60 occupied tunnels, and correspondingly large numbers of birds in constant flight over the reserve Barn Owl - 3 chicks in the process of fledging. Two climbed on top of the box this afternoon and exercised, with the third (slightly younger) bird just testing the ledge for size. Fantastic views! PF. |
