A few suprises while out an about today at work. Discovered that the Swallow nest found in an undercarriage of an aircraft has had 3 chicks recently hatched. Another Swallow nest has fledged 4 out of 5 young. Four been seen being fed by both parents however with sadness one found dead below the nest - unknown cause of death. A new Woodpigeon nest also found and 2 fledged Pied Wagtails with one parent seen feeding them.

Also 2 Stock Doves and 5 Collared Doves.

In the village at lunchtime above the central carpark, c200 assumed Jackdaws (consisting of adults and juveniles) had gathered within a thermal. Assumed because the ones returning down out of the flock to a resonable height were all Jackdaws. Suspect some playing involved here.
