That's a new one,

"Chamshaw wood"

Do you mean "Camshaw's Plantation"?

Hi Russell,

Birdguides tell us that the bird was calling from a field by Camshaw's Plantation, South of Wragby - Lincoln OS sheet : -General area TF 1174/1274.
Dean would be more exact when he logs on.

Regards,

Freddy

My post was purely to clarify the whereabouts of this bird.

Perhaps a little more detail in your original post e.g. Grid Reference, Nearest village or at least where "The field" was, would have made it easier to find. Having searched Google for "Chamshaw Wood" and finding nothing, I and perhaps others where left wondering where it was you heard this bird.
