Hi, Paul French had a golden oriole while doing his BTO atlas survey at Kirton Marsh at 8am this morning. It flew towards Frampton village, but unsurprisingly hasn't been seen since. This just goes to show how survey work often yields good birds (especially if your name is Paul French). At RSPB Frampton Marsh today; 36 occupied sand martin nest holes Hobby - (now becoming a daily sight) Spotted redshank - 1 Green sandpiper - 2+ Greenshank - 1+ Marsh harrier - 1 Turtle dove - 1 John, Paul French, Paul Sullivan & Alex Parker |

Hi I was amazed to have this fly over me this morning! It was at Sandholm, which is approx 1mile SE of Frampton. It flew from Kirton Marsh direction towards Frampton village and i lost it in the distance while scrabbling for my phone. Flashes of gold and green would make it a female/immature. PF. |
