Early morning visit between 0350 and 0610 this morning observed:
57 Common Tern, some have had young hatch - 2 prs with 3 young each and another pr with 2 young.
2 Oystercatchers with 2 young, back on N island. I think male has injured left leg as he is limping bad and holding it up.
My father and I went on Saturday 30th May, we saw 2 Oysercatchers with
3 young, no injured left-leg. It must have happened within that time frame.
You don't think, someone has taken one of the young? They were quite big when we saw them, they couldn't have been prey, could they?
