14.30 hrs. Black Kite at Southrey. First seen gliding at c. 30m. high above R. Witham it then turned eastwards, gliding, with the occasional wing flap, before a brief soar of a couple of turns followed by a continuing glide. Notched tail and pale median upper wing coverts were very conspicuous when the bird soared. |
