Up to 6000 knot, virtually all in non-breeding plumage have been feeding on the estuary over the last couple of days - an exceptional number for this time of year.
Lots of visitors enquiring about where best to see turtle doves - there are territories just onto the reserve from Beach Car Park and another SW of Mill Hill. Day counts suggest that the population decline here has slowed over last couple of years.
Cheers
