A TTV by the tidal section of the River Welland upstream from Fosdyke on Wednesday afternoon gave some nice surprises:

2 pairs of Grey Partridge, 1 male Blue-headed Wagtail and a summering Short-eared Owl.

Will be attempting 4 more TTVs over the week-end in the unpromising environs of Gosberton, Donington and Swineshead.

Regards

Timed Tetrad Visit
In case you can't/don't want to follow the link.

Either one or two hours counting every bird you come across in a 2 km square and recording evidence of breeding.
